Advice to Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren…Now and always!

For now, this is advice for my Granddaughter. Probably I’ll be in my eighties and hopefully around to give advice to great-grandchildren, but here’s something documented that can be considered timeless!

A simplistic wish for my great-grandchildren is happiness, health, and safety first. Anything beyond that is golden! I’ve always desired that for my children, and now my Granddaughter is added to that prayer and wish.

With that said, here’s the first piece of advice: Think of the positive as much as possible. Be smart and aim to be a responsible individual. Help and love others around you. Stay calm when making decisions. Take time to relax and breathe. I sometimes use a meditation app. In the late 1990s through early 2000s, I’ve had sessions with a Holistic therapist, and I continue to follow some of her teachings. I also follow some of Jay Shetty’s breathing techniques in his book, ‘Think Like A Monk.’

Give yourself a break when you feel overwhelmed. No one is perfect. Life isn’t perfect, so be good to yourself. Forgive yourself and others, or at least stay level-headed and take one day at a time.

Eat good food, keep active, exercise, and enjoy life. Take care of yourself.
