Am I the same person I was as an adolescent, or very different?

I love this question. I have an opportunity to reflect on my past and present!

** Every week, I answer a personal question for my children to compile into my life’s storybook next year! I received this gift from my two daughters for Christmas 2020. I share some of the stories here on Medium that may be relatable or inspirational. **

I am very different in some ways and the same in others. Lots of people would say the same. Some traits and beliefs stay with us in our hearts and souls. Then, we realize it’s time to let go of a few.

I always like some laughs and fun, but I am serious, too, at times. Same. I love to draw, write, and listen to music. It’s mostly still the same there, too. Writing is my most creative outlet today.

I’m a dreamer and creative, and I love the sun and the beach, but today, I’m careful with my skin, use sunscreen, and stay out of the sun. I’m sorry to say this year, I haven’t been to the beach once. I’ll make it a point to go for a fall walk around Narragansett. I’ll think of our family at the beach and…
