Move Along Slow With Summer

Time for the end of rushing around

Summer calls us to take our time

Answers to our questions drift in the fresh air

Summer is lazy and kind

Family, friends, beach, and walks

Time steals us if we take its lead

Wine, flowers, the sunrise, and sunset

Clouds of color gently move

Through the skies

Here, far away, and repeatedly

Give us a chance to move on with them

When we slow down our pace

Our minds wait for peace,

For all lands, every sea, free of harm,

Together, seeking the same joy

Following time this summer

Alone at first, we’re bound to meet others

On this journey of faith and peace.

So stop the rushing

Relax your mind, your body, your spirit

Embrace a summer day

Walk, swim, talk with a friend,

Move along slow with summer

Like it will never end!
