Simplicity Took Me Here

My feet stood firmly on the ground

I sparkled with confidence,

Though troubles did remain with me

Simplicity, I decided, made much more sense.

Once you’re strong enough

And some of the hardships hopefully disappear,

A simple life lifts the burdens you’ve carried.

Heaviness diminishes or might no longer be near.

There’ll almost always be some struggles,

It seems they occur in life.

But keep yourself on a leisurely journey,

Worry less, and don’t welcome more strife.

How can we stay healthy, wealthy, and wise?

How, if we can’t get what we need?

Remember to keep some troubles behind

And allow simplicity to lead.

You may not win every battle,

Or get everything you aspire.

But life kept uncomplicated,

Just might end up giving you what you desire.
