Small steps in Budgeting… Are they worth it in your sixties?
At any age, for that matter? I’m discovering accomplishments, even with a hindrance, can be worthwhile, no matter the size.
I mentioned in a previous story that I’d update how my budget is going if all goes well. Either way, good or not so good, I planned to share the journey.
Budgeting happens to be going well. I continue to track my expenses, bills, and income and enter the info on my grid sheets in Numbers, and am pleasantly surprised how nicely it’s working.
My first month was rocky with learning to pay bills ahead of time. But after 30 days with this new system, I adjusted more and more each day.
We’ll see if my enthusiasm continues. I hope so!
There is a bump in the road… Unfortunately, I will not be working at my retail job this winter. The store is in a tourist area with slow winters, and this summer hasn’t been as busy as the last one.
Fortunately, on the other hand, I have another job, but definitely have to pick up a part-time gig to make up for the loss.
I’m grateful I have time to find something. And happy with this budget system to help with the transition of my store job.
